Pregna introduces a device CryoPop used for cryotherapy for the treatment of precancerous cervical lesions. This involves the use of extreme cold to destroy abnormal tissues, such as pre-cancer cells, using solid carbon dioxide (dry ice) at temperature lower than -50ºC.
CryoPop device is developed by JHPIEGO, USA, an internationally renowned organization in the field of public health. It is easy to handle as compared to gas-based system. Device is convenient to use for doctors and trained technicians due to the simplicity of construction and ease of use.

Simple construction and can be operated by trained technician or midwife.
System based on CO2 which is easily available. As heat transfer is by solid state conduction cooling efficiency is higher as compared to the conventional gas-based systems.
CO2 consumption is substantially less compared to gas-based system.
Device does not require to be connected with cylinder during operation.
Absence of capillary tube eliminates possibility of blockages and subsequent servicing requirement of the device.
